Reading is a Human Right! World Read Aloud Day!

World Read Aloud Day is an awareness day advocating for literacy as a right that belongs to all people, celebrated around the world annually on the first Wednesday in March.
The Diving Dolphins

Our Diverse Learners are participating for the first time in the Special Olympics Track & Field Events in May. They will be participating in the "Parade of Athletes" at Soldier Field. During the past few weeks, many of our students and staff have been working hard getting ready for the upcoming events. If you could see how thrilled each of our students are when he/she crosses the finish line and everyone's cheering. It's amazing!!

2nd Annual History Fair: Leadership & Legacy
DePriest students have been working hard on their History Fair Projects. They have researched, written, and performed their projects for each other and teachers throughout the building. They are excited about history, its leaders, and the legacy that they leave. In turn, students have shown their own leadership qualities over the course of the year.
